The national football team of Italy or as they are nicknamed the Gli Azzurri (The Blues) is coming to Brazil after their poor performance 4 years ago in the last World Cup in South Africa (finished last in their Group). Cesare Prandelli, the current coach who replaced Marcello Lippi in 2010 brought Italy to the Euro 2012 Final where they lost to Spain. Italy is the only team besides Brazil which won the World Cup twice in a row (1934 and 1938) and the second team (after Brazil) with the most winnings in the history of the tournament (total of 4 titles). Luigi Riva, the phenomenal striker who played in the 70's is the top goal scorer in the history of the team with 35 goals in 42 caps, while the current goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon, is the most capped player with 138 appearances.
