The 2017 Audi Cup will be the fifth edition of the Audi Cup, a two-day association football tournament that will feature four teams from 4 different countries and be played at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. The competition will feature the hosts and 2015 winners Bayern Munich, Spanish side Atlético Madrid, English side Liverpool, and S.S.C. Napoli. Each competition has included leading teams from throughout the world of football: Bayern Munich have naturally hosted on every occasion. Other participating teams to date have been Barcelona, AC Milan, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Manchester City, Boca Juniors (Argentina) and Brazilian clubs San Paulo and Internacional.
With the tournament coming just two weeks before the start of the new season, the Audi Cup is a great chance to see your favorite teams perform at the highest level and also a good indicator of the teams’ performance. Will Ancelotti’s Bayern Munich defend its title against Klopp’s eager and hungry Liverpool, Simone’s fierce and feisty Atletico Madrid. Or will the elegant and passionate squad of Maurizio Sarri take the title home to Napoli? All four teams will be keen to perform at their best in this prestigious pre-season encounter and some great, attacking football is almost certainly on the cards.
Two semi-finals will take place on Tuesday 1 August. The two losers will play a third-place play-off on Wednesday 2 August, before the winners battle it out in the final.
